Job summary

AS&H Clifford Chance in Riyadh is seeking a BD Client Development Manager to drive strategic client initiatives, coordinate pitches, and lead market intelligence efforts in Saudi Arabia. You will work with partners to identify growth opportunities and manage key client programmes, while coaching a growing BD team.

The role requires senior stakeholder engagement, strong commercial awareness, and a proven track record in professional services business development.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience in business development, marketing or communications, ideally within a professional services environment.
• Significant experience running client development programmes within a leading law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong track record managing pitches, proposals and competitive tenders.
• Experience preparing legal directory submissions and working with rankings organisations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to work with senior partners and clients.
• Strong commercial awareness and identification of growth opportunities.
• Excellent written communication, drafting and project management skills.
• Experience using CRM systems and business development technologies.
• Team player, proactive, highly organised with results orientation.

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of client development plans for priority clients and growth targets.
• Work with partners to identify client opportunities and cross-selling initiatives.
• Coordinate client feedback, listening initiatives and opportunity pipelines.
• Lead pitches, proposals, EOIs, RFPs and panel submissions.
• Draft credentials, capability statements and matter summaries for proposals.
• Manage Saudi credentials database and track outcomes for lessons learned.
• Coordinate communications and marketing activities supporting client development.
• Measure ROI and report on client-facing initiatives.
• Coach and mentor junior BD team members; share best practices.
