Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Architect - Building Design Management to lead architectural design development across multiple project stages in Riyadh, ensuring buildable, compliant solutions and strong coordination with structural, MEP, fire safety and landscape teams.

You will manage design interfaces, review drawings and specifications, and support authority submissions to Saudi authorities, while maintaining program and budget objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution and at least 10 years in architectural design and delivery.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code and local authority procedures.
• Experience on projects in Riyadh or major Saudi cities is highly desirable.
• Advanced proficiency in architectural design software and BIM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design development from concept through construction-ready stages.
• Review architectural deliverables for completeness, coordination, and compliance.
• Coordinate architectural design with structural, MEP, fire safety, accessibility, and landscape packages.
• Manage design interfaces to identify and eliminate clashes before construction.
• Review drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documents.
• Provide technical input into project cost estimates and design-related decisions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design reviews and follow up on technical actions.
• Support tender-stage activities by responding to bidder queries and clarifications.
• Assist with preparation of addenda where architectural design changes are required.
