Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Senior Engineer, Body Structures to lead manufacturing assembly validation and own design release for body structures. You will be the engineering contact for issues, sustain engineering after launch, and collaborate with core engineering to ensure parts meet design and validation requirements.

Responsibilities include solving complex root-cause problems, validating processes, and supporting product launches with part concessions while coordinating with manufacturing

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering with 5+ years in design & release of vehicle attributes.
• Professional certification in Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt or equivalent problem-solving methodology.
• Experience with stampings, castings, and extrusions; Class A panels a plus.
• Experience in technology, system and supplier selection.
• Ability to prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment.
• Detail-oriented, engineering-first-principles approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead root-cause containment for body structure issues on the production line.
• Assess and validate manufacturing assembly processes to meet body structure requirements.
• Data-driven problem solving to prevent quality issues.
• Support launches and manage part concessions for Body structures.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing to ensure process sequence and build quality.
• Coordinate virtual and physical validation testing; travel as needed.
