Job summary
A leading industrial firm in Riyadh is seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety guidelines. The Safety Officer will develop and implement safety policies, conduct site inspections, investigate incidents, and deliver training sessions to employees. The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Occupational Health & Safety, have proven experience, and relevant certifications like NEBOSH or OSHA. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and safety standards.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are preferred.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Deliver safety inductions, training sessions, and toolbox talks to employees.
- Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper compliance.
- Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.
- Coordinate with management to improve safety performance and awareness.
