Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a highly experienced Sr. Launch Engineer to lead vehicle interior and exterior launch activities, integrate with Product Engineering and Manufacturing, and ensure high-quality, on-time deliveries across SOP builds.

The role demands hands-on engineering, ownership, and a willingness to resolve issues to meet program milestones, with collaboration across global teams and occasional early/late meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years automotive engineering experience in Interiors/Exteriors/Vehicle Integration/Manufacturing/Quality/Launch Engineering.
• Strong understanding of automotive products, manufacturing processes, and engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with structured problem‑solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, FMEA, or similar tools.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, dimensional reports, and technical data.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead launch and production support for interior and exterior systems.
• Support prototype, pilot, pre-production, and SOP builds.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality and manufacturing issues.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality, Program Management, and Design Engineering to ensure launches.
• Track and close launch issues; mitigate risks.
• Support process improvements focusing on quality, cost, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Be on-site engineering representative during critical launch activities.
