Job summary

HanmiGlobal Saudi is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Engineer to support a prestigious high-rise hospitality project in Makkah. You will oversee architectural design coordination, technical reviews, and QA throughout all project phases, ensuring compliance with SBC, international standards, and the highest quality.

The role requires 12–15 years in architecture engineering, at least 5 years in a senior role, GCC experience on luxury developments, and PMC/client-representative

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
• 12-15 years of relevant architectural engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior architectural engineering role.
• Proven GCC experience on high-rise developments and luxury hospitality projects.
• Experience working in PMC/Client Representative environments is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate architectural designs, shop drawings, submittals and documentation for code compliance.
• Coordinate interfaces with structural, MEP, façade, interior design and specialty teams.
• Monitor construction to ensure work aligns with drawings and quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections and audits for workmanship and material quality.
• Lead design review workshops and provide technical recommendations to resolve issues.
• Oversee façade systems implementation per design intent and performance requirements.
• Review RFIs, method statements, and change requests for timely resolutions.
• Support planning, scheduling and progress monitoring of architectural works.
• Ensure compliance with SBC, international standards, health and safety guidelines.
• Manage punch lists, defect rectification, testing, commissioning and closeout.

HanmiGlobal is seeking an experienced strong Senior Architectural Engineer strong to support the delivery of a prestigious high-rise hospitality development in Makkah The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing architectural design coordination technical reviews construction supervision quality assurance and stakeholder management throughout all project phases This role requires extensive experience in high-rise and luxury hospitality developments with the ability to ensure compliance with project requirements applicable codes and international best practices while maintaining the highest standards of quality and performance

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate architectural designs shop drawings material submittals and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable codes
• Coordinate architectural interfaces with structural MEP fa ade interior design and specialty consultant teams
• Monitor construction activities to ensure architectural works are executed in accordance with approved drawings specifications and quality standards
• Conduct site inspections and audits to verify workmanship material quality and compliance with approved methodologies
• Lead architectural design review workshops and provide technical recommendations to resolve design and construction issues
• Oversee fa ade systems implementation ensuring alignment with design intent performance requirements and quality standards
• Review RFIs technical queries method statements and change requests providing timely resolutions and recommendations
• Support project planning scheduling and progress monitoring activities related to architectural works
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code SBC international standards health and safety requirements and project-specific guidelines
• Manage architectural punch lists defect rectification processes testing and commissioning support and project closeout activities
• Coordinate with clients consultants contractors and authorities to facilitate efficient project execution and issue resolution
• Contribute to risk management initiatives by identifying potential architectural and construction risks and proposing mitigation measures
• Support document control processes and maintain accurate architectural records within EDMS platforms
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams when required

Technical Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code SBC and international building standards
• Expertise in architectural design reviews and technical coordination
• Sound understanding of fa ade systems architectural materials and construction methodologies
• Experience in multidisciplinary coordination across architecture structure MEP and specialist disciplines
• Strong site supervision QA QC testing commissioning handover and closeout experience

Software Skills
