Job summary

DAR AL RIYADH in Medina is seeking an experienced Architect to supervise the renovation of a high-rise five-star hotel. You will ensure compliance with approved drawings, Saudi Building Code and operator standards, and coordinate across structural, MEP, and interior teams.

Expect responsibility for facade refurbishment, glazing, waterproofing, and building-envelope works, with oversight of guest areas and public spaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or architectural engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in architectural construction supervision and design coordination.
• Proven experience in high-rise building projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise architectural works for renovation of a high-rise hotel.
• Coordinate with structural, interior design, MEP, and life-safety systems.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, method statements, and mockups.
• Lead snagging, de-snagging and final handover inspections.
• Monitor progress and report to Project Manager.

Job description

Supervise architectural works for the renovation of a high-rise five-star hotel Ensure all works comply with approved drawings specifications Saudi Building Code and hotel operator standards Review architectural shop drawings material submittals method statements samples and mockups Supervise facade refurbishment glazing replacement waterproofing building-envelope works and external finishes Coordinate architectural works with structural interior design MEP fire and life-safety systems Resolve design clashes between existing building conditions and new architectural requirements Monitor the quality of guestrooms public areas back-of-house areas and architectural finishes Conduct site inspections and identify defective or non-compliant work Lead architectural snagging de-snagging and final handover inspections Coordinate with the client hotel operator designers contractors and specialist subcontractors Monitor progress highlight architectural risks or delays and submit regular reports to the Project Manager Review architectural as-built drawings warranties and handover documents

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers registration is mandatory.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in architectural construction supervision and design coordination.
• Proven experience in high-rise building projects.
• Strong experience in five-star hotels, luxury hospitality developments, or major hotel renovations.
• Experience in facade refurbishment, glazing, waterproofing, building-envelope systems, and high-quality finishes.
• Previous experience working with an engineering consultancy or construction supervision consultant.
• Strong knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and relevant construction standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM coordination, and architectural document review.
• Experience coordinating architectural works with structural, MEP, and interior design disciplines.
• Experience in Madinah Central Area or similar sensitive urban locations is preferred.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory; Arabic is preferred.
