Job summary

Buchanan is seeking a Corporate / Commercial Associate for its Riyadh office to handle energy, natural resources and infrastructure transactions. The role targets 3-6 PQE lawyers based in the Middle East, offering exposure to high-profile regional mandates, cross-border teams, and a developing Saudi practice with strong career progression.

You will draft and negotiate agreements, perform due diligence, and build relationships with regional clients while working closely with partners to shape

Qualifications

• 3-6 years' PQE at a recognised international law firm.
• Strong transactional experience across corporate or commercial matters.
• Experience working within the Middle East region.
• Saudi nationals strongly preferred.
• Arabic language skills highly desirable.
• Excellent drafting skills and commercial awareness.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Advise on corporate and commercial transactions across the energy, natural resources and infrastructure sectors.
• Support clients on a broad range of regional transactional matters.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements and transaction documentation.
• Work closely with partners and cross-border teams on Middle East mandates.
• Assist with due diligence and structuring for complex corporate transactions.
• Develop relationships with regional clients and stakeholders.
