Job summary

Buchanan in Riyadh is seeking a Senior Projects/Construction Associate to play a pivotal role in growing a regional projects platform. You will advise on major infrastructure and energy developments, draft EPC and construction agreements, and support JV/M&A activity and PPP initiatives.

The role requires senior-level experience, strong drafting skills, and the ability to lead workstreams with increasing autonomy in a fast‑moving Middle East environment.

Qualifications

5+ years’ PQE in projects, construction or infrastructure transactions.
Saudi national based in the Middle East.
Experience at a leading international law firm.
Experience with EPC or construction documentation.
Exposure to JV and M&A in projects.
Familiarity with PPP structures or privatisations.
Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
Experience leading transactions and workstreams.

Responsibilities

Advise on project development across major infrastructure and energy projects.
Draft and negotiate EPC and construction contracts for large-scale developments.
Support joint ventures, M&A and strategic partnerships in projects.
Advise on regulatory and government-led initiatives including PPPs.
Lead workstreams and manage deal execution with partners.
