Job summary

Buchanan is seeking an Energy & Infrastructure Senior Associate to join its Middle East projects practice in the Eastern Province region. The role focuses on high‑value infrastructure and energy projects across the Middle East, with exposure to cross‑border mandates and close partner interaction.

The ideal candidate will have 4–7 years PQE at a leading international firm, strong drafting skills, and experience advising on energy, infrastructure, or PPP projects in the Middle East.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years PQE gained at a recognised international law firm.

Responsibilities

• Advise on all aspects of project development and delivery across major infrastructure and energy projects.
• Draft and negotiate key project documentation including concession agreements, EPC contracts, O&M agreements and interface agreements.
• Conduct risk analysis and due diligence on project transactions.
• Support project execution and coordinate with technical, financial and advisory teams.
• Work closely with project finance teams on transactions involving project financing structures.
• Advise sponsors, lenders and government authorities across a range of sectors.
