- Oversee contractor and vendor activities on behalf of the telecom operator or client.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and operational procedures.
- Manage end‑to‑end site implementation activities across optical transport infrastructure projects.
- Conduct technical inspections and verify installation quality for fibre, racks, power systems, and transmission equipment.
- Validate optical network performance using OTDR, OSNR, ORL, optical power, insertion loss, CD, and PMD measurements.
- Support deployment activities within Cable Landing Stations (CLS) and Data Centre environments.
- Review and approve Method of Procedures (MOPs), Permit to Work (PTW) documentation, and implementation plans.
- Manage punch‑list items, NCRs, corrective actions, and project closeout activities.
- Ensure accurate as‑built documentation, acceptance reports, and operational handover packages.
- Coordinate maintenance windows and implementation activities within live telecom networks while minimizing service impact.
- Prepare technical reports, project status updates, risk assessments, and acceptance documentation.
- Act as the primary technical liaison between customers, operators, vendors, and project delivery teams.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Optical Transport and Transmission Network implementation.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supervising contractors or vendors on behalf of a telecom operator, carrier, or client.
- Strong hands‑on expertise in DWDM and OTN installation, commissioning, testing, and network acceptance.
- Experience working within Cable Landing Stations (CLS) and/or Data Centre environments.
- Proficiency in optical testing methodologies and performance measurement techniques.
- Strong understanding of OTDR, OSNR, ORL, Optical Power, Insertion Loss, Chromatic Dispersion (CD), and Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD).
- Experience with ODFs, MMRs, fibre routing systems, structured cabling, and rack/power installations.
- Strong knowledge of telecom implementation standards, quality assurance, and acceptance procedures.
- Experience managing NCRs, punch‑list closures, and project handover processes.
- Ability to operate effectively within live telecommunications environments without service disruption.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent technical reporting, documentation, and stakeholder communication abilities.
