Job summary

Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. seeks a QC Inspector - Civil to perform on-site inspections and testing for civil construction activities, ensuring conformity with drawings, specifications, and codes.

You will witness concrete pours, tests, and sampling, verify materials and formwork, and maintain comprehensive QC records. The role requires daily presence on active fronts and may involve extended hours to cover hold points and inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience performing in-process and final inspections on civil works.
• Familiarity with ITPs, concrete testing and witnessing pours.
• Ability to verify drawings, specs and material certificates.
• Skilled in generating NCRs and maintaining QC records.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on civil works (earthworks, formwork, rebar, concrete).
• Witness concrete pours, compaction tests, and cube/cylinder sampling per the ITP.
• Verify formwork, rebar placement, and dimensions against approved civil drawings.
• Verify materials (concrete mix, rebar) against material certificates and specifications.
• Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required.
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors.
• Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
• Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment used on site.
• Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for civil works.
• Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and civil codes.
• Support preparation of quality documentation for civil handover dossiers.
