Job summary

ABIS is seeking a QC Inspector – Civil to perform inspection and testing of civil construction activities on site, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes. You will witness concrete pours, concrete testing, formwork and rebar verification, record inspection results, raise Non-Conformance Reports, and coordinate hold points with clients or third-party inspectors.

The role is field-based, with daily site presence and possible shift hours to cover inspection hold

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on civil works (earthworks, formwork, rebar, concrete).
• Witness concrete pours, compaction tests, and cube/cylinder sampling per the ITP.
• Verify formwork, rebar placement, and dimensions against approved civil drawings.
• Verify materials (concrete mix, rebar) against material certificates and specifications.
• Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required.
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors.
• Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
• Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment used on site.
• Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for civil works.
• Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and civil codes.
• Support preparation of quality documentation for civil handover dossiers.
