Job summary

Mina Excellence in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia seeks a Presales Engineer to own the technical side of bids and translate client requirements into costed, compliant, and buildable ICT and ELV solutions. You will develop designs, drawings, BOQs, and proposals to support successful bids and ensure smooth handover to delivery teams.

The role requires expertise in CCTV, VMS, access control, structured cabling, and server room infrastructure, with strong AutoCAD skills and proven tender management

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in presales, solution design, or design engineering within a systems integrator, ELV contractor, or technology vendor.
• Demonstrable experience managing tenders end-to-end, including solution design, BOQ, compliance statements, and technical proposals.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling, copper and fibre infrastructure, LAN/WAN, switching, routing, VLANs, PoE, Wi-Fi, and data centre/server room infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV, VMS, access control, intrusion detection, intercom, barriers, turnstiles, and ELV systems.
• Experience with VMS platforms such as Milestone, Genetec, Bosch, Axis, Hanwha, Hikvision, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience producing technical drawings to a professional production standard.

Responsibilities

• Analyse RFPs, RFIs, tender specifications, drawings, and site conditions to identify scope, gaps, risks, and requirements.
• Design end-to-end ICT infrastructure and physical security / ELV solutions.
• Prepare technical designs, AutoCAD drawings, BOQs, material take-offs, compliance matrices, and technical proposals.
• Perform technical calculations for CCTV coverage, VMS storage, bandwidth, PoE, UPS, fibre links, rack elevations, heat loads, cable lengths, and pathway capacity.
• Select appropriate products and technologies based on technical requirements, cost, lifecycle, licensing, and client standards.
• Conduct site surveys, walk-downs, and as-built verification.
• Present solutions to clients, consultants, and end users and participate in technical clarification meetings.
• Coordinate with OEMs and distributors for technical support, pricing, product information, and authorisations.
• Support demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and pilot setups.
• Provide a complete technical handover to the project delivery team and support submittals, RFIs, and design changes during execution.
