Job summary

Confidential in Saudi Arabia seeks an experienced Director of Engineering to lead the Engineering Department for a major port and terminal operation. The role focuses on reliability programs, digitalization, Lean/5S, and automation to keep assets at peak availability and safety.

You will drive TPM, oversee CMMS and IoT dashboards, manage a large multicultural team of engineers and technicians, and align engineering goals with terminal strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in port, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure maintenance environments.
• Proven track record in reliability improvement, digital transformation, and automation projects.
• Hands-on experience with CMMS, TPM, Lean/5S implementation, and industrial automation systems.
• In-depth knowledge of medium-voltage power networks, load management, and protection systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and conflict-management capabilities in multicultural settings.

Responsibilities

• Reliability & Performance Transformation: Develop and execute a reliability-centered maintenance strategy for quay cranes, yard equipment, and facilities; establish KPIs for availability, MTBF, MTTR; implement TPM; lead continuous improvement programs.
