Job summary

Ashoka Buildcon is seeking a Planning Manager for our Riyadh projects. You will lead planning and scheduling across the portfolio, develop robust programs, and provide strategic oversight to ensure on-time delivery in Saudi Arabia.

The role requires 15+ years of Gulf/GCC experience, a civil engineering or construction management background, and strong expertise in Primavera P6 and EVM. Travel to multiple project sites is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in civil engineering or construction management.
  • Professional planning certification preferred (PMI-SP, CIOB).
  • Primavera P6 certification is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and control master project schedules and baselines for active projects.
  • Prepare Level 1–4 schedules using Primavera P6 with regular updates.
  • Conduct schedule risk analysis and provide mitigation strategies.

We are hiring experienced Planning Manager for Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Projects.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Planning Manager will lead all project planning and scheduling activities for ABL-KSA, ensuring that project programs are robustly developed, maintained, and reported across the portfolio. The role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in planning, resource management, to support ABL-KSA's ambitious project delivery targets in the Kingdom.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, maintain, and control master project schedules and baseline programs for all active projects.
  • Prepare Level 1 to Level 4 schedules using Primavera P6 and ensure regular updates.
  • Conduct schedule risk analysis (SRA) and provide mitigation strategies to project teams.
  • Monitor project progress earned value (EV), and schedule performance index (SPI).
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly progress reports to clients and senior management.
  • Identify critical path activities and recommend corrective actions to recover delays.
  • Manage Look-Ahead schedules across all project sites.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and construction teams.
  • Support Extension of Time (EOT) claims by providing scheduling evidence and delay analysis.
  • Develop and mentor junior planning engineers and document controllers.
QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Professional certification in Planning (PMI-SP, CIOB, or similar) is preferred.
  • Primavera P6 certification is a strong advantage.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Expert-level proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and Delay Analysis techniques.
  • Experience with scheduling on infrastructure, buildings, and civil works projects.
  • Excellent reporting, presentation, and analytical skills.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 15 years in project planning/controls, with at least 5 years in KSA/GCC.
  • Proven experience on mega or large-scale projects (SAR 100M+ value) in Saudi Arabia.
  • Direct experience managing planning teams of 3+ engineers.
  • Demonstrable experience in delay analysis and EOT claim support.
  • Willingness to travel to and work across multiple project sites in KSA.
