Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling in construction/engineering.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of CPM and EVM.
  • Familiarity with SBC and regulatory standards.
  • Registration with Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and ensure alignment with objectives.
  • Monitor progress against baseline schedules and provide updates to managers.
  • Analyze critical paths, resource allocations, and delays; propose corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Develop** detailed project schedules using **Primavera P6** and ensure alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
  • **Monitor** project progress against baseline schedules and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.
  • **Analyze** critical paths, resource allocations, and potential delays, proposing corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • **Coordinate** with project teams to gather data on progress, resource usage, and potential bottlenecks.
  • **Prepare** and present detailed progress reports, including earned value analysis, to internal and external stakeholders.
  • **Ensure** compliance with project planning standards, contractual requirements, and relevant regulations.
  • **Collaborate** with cost control teams to integrate scheduling and budgeting processes.
  • **Support** the tendering process by developing preliminary schedules and resource plans for bids.
  • **Conduct** regular site visits to verify progress and ensure alignment with the project schedule.
  • **Implement** best practices in planning and scheduling to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.
  • **Train** and mentor junior planning staff to build departmental capabilities.
  • **Maintain** up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, tools, and techniques in project planning and controls.
Required Qualifications
  • **Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field**.
  • Minimum of **5 years of experience** in project planning and scheduling within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in **Primavera P6** and **MS Project**.
  • Strong understanding of **critical path method (CPM)** and earned value management (EVM).
  • Familiarity with **Saudi Building Code (SBC)** and other relevant regulations.
  • Registration with the **Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE)**.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
