Job summary

Lakeora in Riyadh seeks an OT Engineer who understands industrial environments and can bridge operational technology with modern data platforms. You will own the architecture you design and work directly with customers to ensure secure, reliable integration of OT data into analytics.

Role involves collaborating with data engineers, cybersecurity teams, and client stakeholders across manufacturing settings, documenting OT architectures, data flows, and connectivity requirements while following

Qualifications

• Experience in Operational Technology or industrial environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of industrial automation or control systems.
• Familiarity with SCADA, PLC, DCS, historians or similar technologies.
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols and OT networking.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate with operational and IT teams.
• Understanding of OT security and reliability considerations.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control/Automation/Computer Engineering or related field.

• Work with OT systems and industrial data sources across manufacturing and operational environments.
• Support integration of operational data with enterprise data and analytics platforms.
• Work with systems including SCADA, PLC, DCS, historians, sensors, and industrial control environments.

• Support secure extraction and ingestion of industrial data for analytics and AI use cases.
• Troubleshoot OT connectivity, data quality, and integration issues.
• Contribute to architecture and solution-design discussions involving IT/OT convergence.
• Follow relevant industrial cybersecurity, governance, and safety requirements.
• Support client workshops, technical assessments, and implementation activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and operational handover materials.

We're looking for an OT Engineer who understands industrial environments and can help bridge the gap between operational technology and modern enterprise data platforms.

You'll work with industrial systems, equipment, and data sources to support secure and reliable integration of operational data into modern data and analytics architectures.

This role sits at the intersection of industrial operations, OT systems, data, and technology, making it ideal for someone who understands both plant environments and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Automation, Computer Engineering, or a related field

Preferred

• Experience within manufacturing, logistics, energy, utilities, or other industrial sectors

• Familiarity with protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, or similar industrial protocols

• Experience with industrial historians such as OSIsoft PI / AVEVA PI

• Exposure to cloud, data platforms, IoT, or edge computing

• Familiarity with data engineering or Databricks environments

• Understanding of IT/OT convergence and Industry 4.0 initiatives

• Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity frameworks and practices

• Experience working with enterprise clients in Saudi Arabia
