Job summary

Soundlines Group seeks an experienced maintenance technician to service port equipment across Saudi Arabia. You will perform troubleshooting, running repairs and preventive maintenance on quay cranes, RTGs and related lifting gear.

Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical, hydraulic and control systems, reading drawings and manuals, and keeping accurate service records. Proficiency in English is mandatory; willingness to work shifts is required.

Qualifications

  • 3–4 years of relevant experience in mobile equipment maintenance.
  • Port/terminal experience is mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience with quay cranes, RTGs, lifting equipment, mobile equipment, or similar port equipment is highly preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience in electrical, control, and hydraulic systems.
  • Good English communication skills are mandatory.

  • Troubleshoot and perform running repairs on quay cranes and mobile equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair medium-voltage electrical, control, and hydraulic systems.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Perform troubleshooting running repairs and maintenance of quay cranes RTGs lifting equipment and mobile equipment
  • Diagnose and repair medium-voltage electrical systems electrical systems control systems and hydraulic systems
  • Carry out repair activities efficiently and within the required operational time
  • Identify technical faults and process problems and report them to the line manager supervisor
  • Identify required spare parts materials tools and resources for maintenance and repair activities
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings hydraulic drawings technical manuals and equipment documentation
  • Diagnose and service electrical control and hydraulic components
  • Check and maintain generators motors hydraulic systems and other mobile equipment systems
  • Use appropriate testing equipment tools and measuring instruments for electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting
  • Ensure all repair and maintenance work is carried out according to operational requirements and company standards
  • Maintain proper maintenance and repair records
  • Follow all HSE port safety rules procedures work instructions and coexistence rules
  • Keep tools equipment working areas and work gear clean and organized
  • Perform all other duties assigned by the supervisor foreman manager

Candidates may be deployed anywhere in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia according to company requirements

Requirements
  • 3–4 years of relevant experience in mobile equipment running repairs / crane maintenance / electrical & hydraulic equipment maintenance
  • PORT / TERMINAL EXPERIENCE IS MANDATORY
  • Hands-on experience with Quay Cranes, RTGs, lifting equipment, mobile equipment, or similar port equipment is highly preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting experience in electrical, control, and hydraulic systems
  • Good knowledge of electrical components, control systems, generators, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic drawings and manuals
  • Good English communication skills are mandatory
  • Must be flexible and willing to work roster/shift duties
  • Must be physically fit and strong to perform field-based repair and maintenance work
  • Must have good moral character and a professional attitude
  • Candidates must be disciplined, responsible, safety-conscious, and team-oriented
  • Aggressive or undisciplined candidates will not be considered
  • Must be flexible to work under different weather and site conditions
  • Must be willing to perform duties as assigned by supervisors/foremen/managers
  • Candidates can be placed anywhere in Saudi Arabia as per company requirements
  • Only candidates with relevant PORT / TERMINAL experience will be considered
