Job summary

Dewan Consultants is seeking an Electrician specialized in mobile cranes and earthmoving equipment in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on preventive and breakdown electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis, and system wiring across cranes and heavy machinery.

You will interpret electrical drawings, use testing equipment, and apply LOTO safety practices to ensure safe operation. A strong background in heavy equipment electrical systems is required.

Qualifications

• ITI Electrician or equivalent certification mandatory.
• Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems on mobile cranes and earthmoving equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in mobile cranes, crawler cranes, excavators, wheel loaders, dozers, motor graders, dumpers, and other heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair wiring harnesses, cables, connectors, relays, fuses, switches, sensors, batteries, alternators, and starter motors.
• Diagnose electrical and electronic control systems, including ECU/ECM, CAN-bus, sensors, controllers, and monitoring systems.
• Troubleshoot crane electrical systems including hoisting, luffing, slewing, travelling, outriggers, limit switches, safety interlocks, and LMI systems.
• Carry out electrical maintenance of starting, charging, lighting, instrumentation, warning, HVAC, and control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, OEM manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
• Use diagnostic scanners, multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, and other electrical testing equipment.
• Attend site breakdowns and carry out timely fault diagnosis and corrective repairs.
• Perform electrical installation, rewiring, modifications, and commissioning as required.
• Coordinate with mechanical, hydraulic, and instrumentation technicians for integrated equipment troubleshooting.
• Conduct functional tests after repairs and ensure equipment is safe for operation.
• Maintain proper records of inspections, breakdowns, repairs, spare parts, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain electrical tools, testing instruments, and spare parts in proper working condition.
• Follow OEM recommendations, company procedures, and all applicable HSE and electrical safety requirements.
• Apply proper isolation and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures before commencing electrical work.
