Job summary

Duruper seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to oversee maintenance, repair, and optimization of mechanical equipment in industrial settings, ensuring reliable and safe operations.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, read drawings, troubleshoot, and collaborate with production teams. 2–4 years experience required; Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and hydraulic components.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical failure-solving capabilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work safely in industrial environments involving machinery, heat, dust, lubricants, and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Install, align, and commission mechanical equipment including pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and failures.
• Diagnose mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Inspect equipment performance using appropriate tools and maintenance techniques.
• Repair or replace worn or damaged components such as bearings, seals, couplings, and belts.
• Reassemble, test, and verify overhauled equipment for proper operation.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repair history, and spare-parts usage.
• Prepare equipment condition reports and recommend maintenance or operational improvements.
• Coordinate with production teams, maintenance personnel, and supervisors to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians when required.
• Follow applicable safety procedures, PPE requirements, and industrial maintenance standards.
