Job summary

Power International Holding (PIH) is seeking a Logistics Officer to oversee and optimize inbound and outbound logistics, shipment clearances, and real-time tracking. The role emphasizes cross-functional coordination with stakeholders and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include developing movement reports, budgets, SOPs, and procedures, while ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with IMS policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Professional qualification related to supply chain/logistics is preferred.
  • Experience in logistics with GCC region is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Arrange shipment arrangements for inbound and outbound.
  • Handle shipment clearances, track and monitor shipments for on-time delivery.
  • Develop reports on products/movements and operational logistics issues.
  • Update stakeholders on shipment status.
  • Develop logistics with support plans, budgets and timelines for new operations.
  • Create standard operating procedures and method statements.
  • Prepare reports on material/product and personnel movements.
  • Assess and advise on improvements to logistics operations systems.
  • Assist in designing standard operating methods for efficient logistics.
  • Comply with company directives, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor material movement to prevent damage to works, workforce, or public.
  • Ensure customers receive products on time and in good condition.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and respond to requirements.
  • Support implementation of health, safety and environmental initiatives.

The Logistics Officer plans to perform and control the logistics operation activities within the organization. Thisposition directs the shipment clearance and ensures effective and efficient monitoring/tracking of all inboundand outbound shipments at all times.

Job Responsibilities 1
  • Arrange shipment arrangements for inbound and outbound.
  • Handle shipment clearances, track and monitors shipments to ensure on time delivery.
  • Develop reports on products/materials movements and various operational logistics issues.
  • Update stakeholders (internal/external) on the status of their shipments in transit.
  • Develop logistics along with support plans, budget requirements and organization timelines for new operations.
  • Create operational procedures and method statements.
  • Prepare reports on material/products and personnel movements and various operational logistics problems.
  • Assess in existing logistics operations systems and advise on corrective measures to be undertaken.
  • Assist in designing and developing standard operating methods to manage logistics operations efficiently.
  • Comply with all applicable Company directives, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor the material movement to and from the workface does not cause damage to the works, the workforce or the public.
  • Ensure customers receives their products in a timely manner and good condition.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and responding to their requirements.
  • Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies
Job Knowledge & Skills
  • Knowledge of logistics (inbound/outbound) Operations.
  • Knowledge of Import documentation and export documentation.
  • Good communication skills, with experience of communicating cross-culturally.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and other related software.
  • ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Job Experience
  • Minimum 5 year(s) working experience, 3 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
