Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Logistics Coordinator for Construction Operations in Riyadh to coordinate access, deliveries, and vehicle movements across airport and infrastructure sites. Qualifications

  • Saudi National eligible for the position.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant construction logistics, site logistics, infrastructure delivery, or construction operations experience.
  • Proven experience coordinating multiple contractors, suppliers, transporters, and active construction work fronts.
  • Airport or airside logistics experience is highly preferred.

Role Context

The Logistics Coordinator will provide day-to-day coordination of the physical movement of people, materials, vehicles, equipment, and temporary resources across active construction areas. The role is especially important where airport operations, security-controlled zones, multiple contractors, restricted access, and high-volume delivery schedules create complex logistics constraints. By maintaining clear delivery plans, access controls, traffic routes, and work-front coordination, the position will help reduce congestion, prevent delays, improve site safety, and support uninterrupted construction productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily construction logistics activities across assigned work areas and project packages.
  • Support implementation and regular updating of the Construction Logistics Plan.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, unloading, site access, storage, handling, and internal distribution.
  • Develop delivery schedules in coordination with contractors, suppliers, transporters, and construction teams.
  • Manage delivery booking systems and vehicle access arrangements.
  • Coordinate access requirements for construction personnel, equipment, transporters, and specialist vehicles.
  • Ensure deliveries comply with approved working hours, security restrictions, route limitations, and site conditions.
  • Plan logistics requirements for large, heavy, oversized, and specialist equipment deliveries.
  • Manage laydown areas, staging zones, temporary storage yards, and material handling locations.
  • Coordinate with Construction teams to verify work-front readiness before planned deliveries.
  • Work with Procurement, Warehousing, and site teams to align material availability with construction priorities.
  • Maintain accurate delivery schedules, logistics trackers, vehicle movement records, and material movement logs.
  • Monitor site congestion and identify access or logistics constraints before they affect productivity.
  • Coordinate internal construction traffic movements and approved vehicle routes.
  • Support implementation of Site Traffic Management Plans and temporary routing arrangements.
  • Coordinate with Traffic and HSE teams to maintain safe separation between pedestrians, vehicles, and heavy equipment.
  • Monitor haul routes, temporary roads, access roads, construction gates, and logistics corridors.
  • Coordinate temporary route closures, diversions, and changes to site access arrangements.
  • Manage logistics activities within airside, landside, restricted, and security-controlled airport areas where applicable.
  • Coordinate with Airport Operations and Security on access permits, vehicle passes, driver approvals, and operational restrictions.
  • Ensure airport-related logistics activities comply with applicable safety, security, and operational requirements.
  • Work with HSE teams to verify safe delivery, unloading, storage, and movement of materials and equipment.
  • Confirm logistics activities follow approved Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and project procedures.
  • Support planning and coordination of lifting and unloading activities.
  • Coordinate access requirements for cranes, heavy transporters, mobile equipment, and specialist machinery.
  • Support logistics planning for major construction milestones and high-volume delivery periods.
  • Identify logistics conflicts between contractors, work fronts, and project packages.
  • Coordinate shared logistics resources, access routes, storage areas, and laydown zones.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with approved construction logistics requirements.
  • Conduct regular site walks to identify congestion, access restrictions, poor housekeeping, unsafe practices, and storage problems.
  • Coordinate removal of construction waste, surplus materials, packaging, and debris.
  • Support construction waste removal and recycling logistics.
  • Ensure emergency access routes remain open and unobstructed.
  • Support emergency response planning where site access and logistics arrangements are involved.
  • Maintain current logistics layouts, delivery plans, access drawings, traffic routes, registers, and supporting records.
  • Support preparation and updating of Site Logistics Plans and Logistics Layouts.
  • Coordinate with BIM and Digital Engineering teams where construction logistics are incorporated into project models.
  • Work with Planning and Project Controls teams to align logistics activities with construction schedules.
  • Provide logistics inputs for 2-week, 3-week, and monthly look-ahead plans.
  • Identify logistics risks that may affect critical milestones or construction productivity.
  • Develop practical mitigation measures for access restrictions, delivery congestion, and logistics constraints.
  • Attend construction coordination, interface, planning, and logistics meetings.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports and status updates.
  • Maintain action trackers and follow up outstanding logistics requirements.
  • Monitor recurring logistics issues and recommend improvements to delivery and site access processes.
  • Support logistics coordination during mobilization, major construction stages, testing, commissioning, and demobilization.
  • Coordinate equipment and material movements required for system completion and commissioning.
  • Support final site clearance and removal of temporary logistics facilities.
  • Maintain complete logistics records and documentation for project handover and closeout.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor 's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • Saudi National eligible for the position.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction logistics, site logistics, infrastructure delivery, or construction operations.
  • Proven experience supporting major airport, infrastructure, transportation, or large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience coordinating multiple contractors, suppliers, transporters, and active construction work fronts.
  • Strong understanding of construction access, delivery planning, temporary storage, traffic movement, and material handling.
  • Airport or airside logistics experience is highly preferred.
  • Practical understanding of restricted access, permit systems, site security, and operational constraints.
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, or related HSE training would be advantageous.
  • Construction logistics or site management certification is preferred.
  • Traffic Management or Temporary Traffic Control training is beneficial.
  • PMP, CAPM, or other project management training would add value.
  • Airport or Airside Safety and Security training is highly desirable.
  • Lifting or specialist logistics training is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills for coordinating multiple deliveries and access requirements simultaneously.
  • Proactive approach to identifying congestion, logistics conflicts, and material movement risks.
  • Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under demanding construction schedules.
