Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions is assisting a client in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, to hire a Process Safety Engineer for oil & gas, petrochemical and refinery projects. The role focuses on developing and reviewing Process Design Basis (PDB) and Design Philosophy documents and ensures strong PDP/FEED workflows.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience, with mandatory PDP/FEED execution experience and PDP/FEED workflow knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering is required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery or chemical plants.
• Mandatory PDP/FEED execution experience and strong PDP/FEED knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review Process Design Basis (PDB) and Design Philosophy documents.
• Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs).
• Perform process simulations and define operating cases, turndown, start-up/shutdown scenarios.
• Lead and close P&ID reviews / HAZOP actions with proper documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review Process Design Basis (PDB) and Design Philosophy documents.
• Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs).
• Perform process simulations using Aspen HYSYS / Aspen Plus or equivalent.
• Define operating cases, turndown, start-up, shutdown, and upset scenarios.
• Lead and close P&ID reviews / HAZOP actions with proper documentation.

Requirements

• Saudi-based candidates highly considered.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, or chemical process plants.
• Prior PDP / FEED and DEP execution experience is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of PDP and FEED workflows.
