Job summary

Durucooperation is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Process/Chemical Design with 10+ years of experience in refinery and petrochemical projects. The role focuses on process engineering design, technical coordination, and ensuring compliance with Saudi Aramco standards (SAEP, SAMS, SAES).

You will lead design activities, review deliverables, prepare process documents, and coordinate with civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant project/process engineering experience.
• Strong process design engineering background.
• Refinery and petrochemical project experience.
• Recent experience with Saudi Aramco standards (SAEP, SAMS, SAES) is mandatory.
• Experience in multidisciplinary engineering/project environments.
• Nationality: Any.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate process/chemical engineering design activities for refinery and petrochemical projects.
• Develop, review, and approve process engineering deliverables, calculations, specifications, drawings, and technical documents.
• Prepare and review process design documents, including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, equipment/process datasheets, material and energy balances, and design calculations.
• Ensure process designs comply with Saudi Aramco standards, project specifications, applicable codes, and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, and other engineering disciplines for design integration.
• Review vendor documents and provide technical inputs during procurement and project execution.
• Identify and resolve process design issues, technical queries, and engineering deviations.
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, HAZOP/HAZID and other process safety activities as required.
• Monitor engineering deliverables, schedules, and technical requirements to support timely project completion.
• Provide technical support to construction and commissioning teams when required.
