Job summary

Saudi Aramco is seeking a seasoned Process Engineer to join the Downstream Operations Excellence and Compliance Division. You will ensure robust process safety requirements across a diverse downstream portfolio, conducting hazard analyses, auditing compliance, and delivering advisory services to asset management teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering, 10+ years in process safety, and professional certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in process safety engineering in downstream industries.
• Professional certification as a Certified Process Safety Professional or a Professional Engineer license.
• Comprehensive knowledge of occupational safety regulations, environmental codes, and NFPA standards.
• Strong analytical and systems engineering capabilities; effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and technical guidance on Process Safety Management systems across downstream assets.
• Lead hazard identification, risk assessment, and consequence modeling studies for refineries, NGL facilities, pipelines, and terminals.
• Perform compliance audits and gap analyses against engineering standards and safety codes.
• Advise on equipment integrity management, corrosion prevention, and reliability programs.
• Evaluate management of change documentation and pre-startup safety reviews for capital projects.
