Job summary

Saudi Aramco is seeking a Safety Engineer to translate occupational and process safety requirements into practical worksite controls across facilities in Saudi Arabia. The role emphasizes enforcing safety management systems and delivering effective loss-prevention training.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least seven years of safety experience in oil and gas, with strong English reporting abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
• At least seven years of safety experience in oil and gas, petrochemicals or a closely related industry.
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and prepare concise English reports.

Responsibilities

• Implement Aramco's Safety Management System and participate in local self-assessments.
• Inspect facilities and contractor worksites against Aramco rules, applicable codes and recognized international standards; recommend practical corrective actions.
• Evaluate critical controls for permit-to-work, isolation/lockout-tagout, confined spaces, hydrogen sulfide, work at height and excavations.
• Support process hazard analyses, HAZOP, job safety analyses, incident investigations and compliance reviews.
• Assist with emergency response, contractor prequalification, incident root-cause investigations and follow-up of prevention actions.
• Deliver loss-prevention training and support the development of other safety professionals.
