Job summary

Saudi Aramco in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to provide risk engineering support for major projects and operating assets. The successful candidate will help establish defensible controls for high-consequence hazards.

You will conduct QRA, HAZID/HAZOP, LOPA studies, write concise technical reports, and mentor junior engineers. This is a full-time on-site role with expatriate considerations and relocation support as arranged.

Qualifications

About the position

This specialist role is part of Saudi Aramco's Loss Prevention organization, providing process-safety risk engineering support to major capital projects and operating assets. The successful candidate helps internal departments and external consultants establish defensible controls for high-consequence process hazards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct or technically review quantitative risk assessments (QRA), consequence modelling, building risk assessments (BRA) and high-integrity protection system (HIPS) studies.
• Support HAZID, HAZOP and layers of protection analysis (LOPA) workshops for new and modified facilities.
• Assess hazards at gas plants, refineries, gas-oil separation plants, pipelines, bulk terminals and offshore facilities.
• Prepare concise technical reports, risk-reduction recommendations and safety-in-design assessments.
• Review Aramco technical procedures and compliance requirements; train and mentor other loss-prevention engineers.

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least 10 years of process-safety and industrial risk-assessment experience, with practical consequence/risk-analysis work.
• Proven capability to write accurate technical reports and communicate in English with engineering teams and management.
