Job summary

AECOM is seeking a senior Contracts professional for on-site leadership in Riyadh to oversee contract administration, claims management, and commercial governance on major infrastructure projects. Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred in construction law, commercial management, or MBA.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the administration and management of all project contracts in accordance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
  • Interpret contract terms and conditions and provide contractual guidance to project teams.
  • Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with all contractual requirements.
  • Maintain contract records, correspondence, notices, and documentation.
  • Ensure proper execution and close-out of contracts.
  • Manage the preparation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of claims, disputes, and variations.
  • Assess contractual entitlement related to extensions of time, disruption, acceleration, and additional costs.
  • Lead the review and analysis of contractor and subcontractor claims.
  • Support dispute avoidance and resolution strategies.
  • Coordinate with legal teams when contractual disputes arise.
  • Advise project leadership on commercial and contractual risks.
  • Review commercial implications of project changes and deviations.
  • Monitor contractual liabilities, obligations, and opportunities.
  • Support cost control and project controls teams in assessing financial impacts of contractual matters.
  • Ensure commercial protection of the company's interests throughout project execution.
  • Support tendering, bid evaluation, and contract award processes.
  • Review RFPs, tender documents, and commercial agreements.
  • Manage subcontractor contractual performance and compliance.
  • Develop and implement contract administration procedures for suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Identify contractual and commercial risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Participate in project risk reviews and governance meetings.
  • Maintain a contractual risk register and track mitigation actions.
  • Advise project management on potential contractual exposure.
  • Act as the primary contractual interface between the client, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead commercial and contractual meetings with project participants.
  • Support senior management in negotiations and strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare contractual and commercial reports for executive management.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
Master's Degree in Construction Law, Commercial Management, or MBA is preferred.
