Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced IN BO Engineer to support and operate mission‑critical Ericsson Charging and Intelligent Network (IN) platforms in a live telecom environment. This role is essential to ensuring service continuity, accurate charging, and high performance across prepaid and real‑time charging systems.
Detailed Job Description
As an IN BO Engineer, you will be responsible for second‑line support, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of Ericsson Charging and IN nodes supporting commercial telecom services. You will work in a 24×7 operational environment, handling incidents, performance degradation, and change requests while maintaining strict SLA and QoS standards. The role involves deep interaction with business configurations such as tariffs, service classes, and rating logic, as well as close collaboration with core, IT, and vendor teams. You will also participate in system integrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery activities. This is a highly technical, high‑impact role within a Tier‑1 telecom infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, configuration, and performance analysis of IN and Charging systems
- Handle 2nd‑level restoration, Trouble Tickets (TT), and Change Requests (CR)
- Design, implement, and validate tariff plans, service classes, and business configurations
- Create, analyze, and optimize performance reports and routine maintenance activities
- Prepare and implement software, hardware, and configuration changes
- Monitor network and service KPIs and investigate performance degradation
- Support system integration, rollout, and emergency handling scenarios
- Participate in technical discussions and recommend operational improvements
- Ensure system availability, accuracy of charging, and service stability
- Work effectively in shift‑based operations
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Strong hands‑on experience with Ericsson Charging / IN Nodes including: SDP, CCN, AIR, VS, ECMS, OCC, IVR, NgCRS
- Strong understanding of IN Business Configuration, Tariffs, and RMA handling
- Good knowledge of GSM and WCDMA technologies
- Solid experience with Linux administration, Oracle Database, and Unix shell scripting
- Programming or scripting experience for operations and automation support
- Experience with VMware / vSphere / ESXi / virtualization platforms
- Exposure to HP 3PAR storage and HP C7000 blade architecture
- Knowledge of SDP geo-redundancy, SUF automation, and disaster recovery
- Understanding of Ericsson Core Network Nodes and Network Management Systems
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work in rotational shifts
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- Experience working in Tier‑1 telecom operator environments
- Prior exposure to prepaid charging optimization and RCA handling
- Experience supporting large subscriber bases and high‑traffic systems
- Knowledge of ITIL-based incident and change management processes
- Strong documentation and knowledge‑sharing culture
