The HSE Manager will provide technical leadership for the prevention and control of occupational health, safety, and environmental risks across project operations. The position will convert regulatory obligations and project requirements into practical HSE systems, procedures, training, investigations, and preventive controls. By identifying unsafe conditions early and addressing underlying causes of incidents, the role will help protect personnel, maintain compliance, reduce operational disruption, and strengthen safety performance throughout project delivery.
Candidates should hold a bachelor 's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline and typically possess at least 12 years of HSE experience. A minimum of 3-5 years in an HSE leadership capacity is expected. Strong previous exposure to large-scale infrastructure, rail, transportation, construction, or engineering projects is particularly important. Candidates should demonstrate practical knowledge of occupational safety management, hazard identification, risk assessment, incident investigation, regulatory compliance, emergency preparedness, and preventive safety systems. The role requires sufficient technical judgment to independently assess complex HSE issues and develop appropriate solutions. NEBOSH International General Certificate is highly relevant, while a NEBOSH Diploma is preferred. IOSH Managing Safely and credentials such as Certified Safety Professional or an equivalent professional safety certification provide additional value.
