Job summary

WSP Middle East is seeking an HSE Advisor for an ongoing Property & Building Supervision Project in Jeddah, KSA. You will manage HSEQ arrangements and lead inspections to protect personnel, aligned with the WSP HSEQ system.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in OH&S or related field, with NEBOSH desirable, and English fluency; Arabic is a plus. You will train staff, review contractor plans, and conduct regular site safety activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or diploma in OH&S, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in a similar HSE leadership role in construction/engineering.
In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations in the Middle East region.
NEBOSH or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
Should hold SCE in Health & Safety domain.

Responsibilities

Manage health, safety and environmental arrangements per WSP HSEQ System requirements.
Supervise HSE Inspectors to ensure compliance at site level with legal and client requirements.
Develop and deliver health, safety and environmental training for employees.
Review contractor HSE plans, risk assessments and method statements for compliance.
Plan daily morning site visits to ensure safety measures before works start.
Carry out weekly HSE inspections and close out corrective actions.
Organise HSE meetings with clients, project staff and contractors.
Initiate and test emergency response plans and conduct drills as per schedule.
Ensure incident investigations are followed up with corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Conduct regular site safety reviews.
