Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to join our Construction Supervision team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on delivering major transport and infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to Saudi HSE regulations and international standards.

This site-based position requires extensive experience with engineering consultants on infrastructure projects within Saudi Arabia, delivering safe and compliant site supervision and reporting across utilities and roads.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
Professional HSE qualifications (NEBOSH IGC, NEBOSH Construction Certificate, IOSH) preferred.
8–12 years total experience with at least 5 years in Saudi Arabia.
Experience on transportation, roads, highways, infrastructure and utility projects in KSA.

Responsibilities

Monitor contractor compliance with project HSE requirements, specs and safety plans.
Conduct site inspections, audits and safety observations across road and infrastructure works.
Review method statements, risk assessments, permits and emergency procedures.
Identify unsafe acts and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Assist Resident Engineer in enforcing project HSE requirements.
Monitor excavation, utility diversions, traffic management and lifting operations.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly safety reports.
