Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a CDZ Operations Specialist in Dammam, Saudi Arabia to manage customs and trade compliance and optimize clearance processes. You will monitor shipments, prepare documentation, and liaise with authorities to ensure timely, compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/qualification.
• More than 4 years of relevant experience in logistics or customs operations.

Responsibilities

• Execute customs and trade compliance plans to optimize service and cost in clearance activities.
• Direct flow of air and surface traffic to ensure timely customs clearance.
• Monitor shipments, validity dates, debits and duties at government institutions.
• Execute customs entries and classify goods based on customer data.
• Close out post-clearance actions, document and archive records.
• Calculate duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight and volume for exports/imports.
• Provide guidance on pricing, margins, bids, RFQs and customer presentations.
• Resolve customer issues and escalations with internal/external teams.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and compliance standards.
• Manage import licenses and export control processes.
• Collaborate with customs authorities for smooth operations.
• Develop workflow models between central and transactional teams.
• Identify permits and certificates required for customs clearance.
• Advise customers on trade compliance topics.
