This role requires teamwork, strict attention to food safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen. Experience in a professional kitchen or relevant culinary qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment or relevant culinary qualification.
• Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation principles.
• Basic knowledge of food cost and inventory management.
• Understanding of proper storage and portioning practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior chefs in preparing high-quality dishes according to standard recipes and guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment
• Ensure all food items are prepared and stored in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
• Help with ingredient preparation portioning and garnishing dishes as needed
• Support inventory control by monitoring supplies and minimizing wastage
• Participate in team briefings and training as required
