Job summary

BD Diagnostics Solutions is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join the technical team in Saudi Arabia. You will provide on-site and remote support for BD instruments, ensuring installations, certifications (IQ/OQ) and repairs meet customer SLAs and regulatory requirements. Location: Jeddah.

Qualifications

1–3 years of hands-on experience servicing IVD laboratory diagnostics equipment, with specific experience supporting flow cytometry instruments highly preferred.
Proven technical expertise in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of flow cytometry systems and related laboratory instrumentation.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and partners.
A collaborative great teammate who thrives in multi-functional environments and can lead multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Provide independent, on-site technical support in line with customer SLAs, including installations, relocations, certifications (IQ/OQ), and repair activities.
Deliver advanced remote support, diagnostics, and fixing for technical issues raised beyond the help desk.
Support and lead distributors by building strong partnerships, mentoring, and leading distributor service teams to ensure service excellence.
Plan, prioritize, and complete corrective and preventive maintenance activities, including upgrades, in compliance with regulatory requirements and defined procedures to ensure uninterrupted customer operations.
Clearly explain service contract offerings to customers, including coverage, terms and conditions, benefits, and pricing.
Conduct pre-installation site assessments and advise customers to ensure all requirements are met for the successful installation of BD devices and equipment.
Ensure full compliance with quality, ISO, GMP, and safety standards, adhering to BD policies and customer SLAs to consistently deliver high-quality service.
