Job summary

Al-Futtaim Automotive – BYD is seeking an experienced EV Charging Technical Lead in Saudi Arabia to oversee field operations, troubleshooting, and deployment of AC home charging and DC fast-charging across the Kingdom. You will supervise contractors, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with internal teams and vendors to maintain charger uptime.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Power Systems, or a related technical discipline.
3–6 years of progressive field experience in EV charging systems, electrical infrastructure, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with AC Type 2 EV chargers and DC fast-charging systems.
Experience supervising contractors across multi-site installation projects.
Working knowledge of SASO standards and Saudi EV charging regulations.
Valid KSA driving licence and willingness to travel across Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

Investigate and resolve complaints involving AC home chargers and DC public EV chargers across Saudi locations.
Perform on-site diagnostics, troubleshooting, fault rectification, and corrective maintenance to restore charger availability.
Perform software, firmware updates, and configuration activities for AC charging equipment.
Conduct Level-1 maintenance and fault diagnosis on DC fast chargers per OEM procedures.
Support commissioning and functional testing of newly installed EV charging stations.
Prepare detailed site surveys and technical readiness assessments before DC fast-charger installation.
Coordinate with contractors to supervise AC and DC charger installations across showrooms and sites.
