Job summary

Dewan Consultants in Saudi Arabia is seeking an AC Technician - Mobile Cranes & Earthmoving Equipment to maintain HVAC systems on mobile cranes and other heavy machinery. Qualifications

• ITI/ Diploma in RAC preferred; mechanical/electrical with AC/HVAC experience considered.
• Certification in automotive/high‑equipment AC systems is an advantage.
• Hands‑on experience with refrigerant handling and system diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of AC/HVAC on mobile and heavy equipment.
• Diagnose faults in vehicle HVAC systems and repair components per OEM specs.
• Inspect and service AC compressors, condensers, evaporators and related parts.
• Check system pressures, recover refrigerant, evacuate, vacuum, leak test and recharge.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits including relays, sensors, and wiring.
• Coordinate with mechanical and electrical technicians for SCADA/machinery faults.
• Document servicing, refrigerant usage, repairs and breakdowns accurately.
• Adhere to OEM guidelines, company procedures and HSE standards.

A leading company hiring AC Technician - Mobile crane for their maintenance project in Saudi Arabia.

Job Title: AC Technician Mobile Cranes & Earthmoving Equipment

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of AC/HVAC systems on mobile cranes, crawler cranes, excavators, wheel loaders, dozers, motor graders, dumpers, and other heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify faults in vehicle and heavy-equipment air-conditioning systems.
• Inspect and service AC compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, receiver-driers, accumulators, blower motors, cooling fans, hoses, belts, and fittings.
• Check AC system pressure using manifold gauges and identify refrigerant-related faults.
• Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, vacuuming, leak testing, and gas charging using appropriate equipment.
• Identify and repair refrigerant leaks in pipes, hoses, fittings, coils, and connections.
• Troubleshoot AC electrical circuits including relays, fuses, switches, thermostats, pressure switches, sensors, control modules, and wiring.
• Check compressor operation, clutch engagement, blower performance, and condenser/evaporator airflow.
• Clean and replace cabin air filters, evaporator coils, condenser coils, and other serviceable components.
• Diagnose insufficient cooling, abnormal compressor noise, high/low pressure, poor airflow, and intermittent AC operation.
• Carry out AC system repairs and component replacement as per OEM specifications.
• Check and maintain cabin heating, ventilation, and defogging systems where applicable.
• Use diagnostic tools, pressure gauges, multimeters, leak detectors, vacuum pumps, and refrigerant charging equipment.
• Read and interpret AC/HVAC circuit diagrams and equipment service manuals.
• Attend site breakdowns and provide timely troubleshooting and corrective maintenance.
• Coordinate with mechanical and electrical technicians for AC-related mechanical and electrical faults.
• Conduct operational and performance tests after completing repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of AC servicing, refrigerant usage, repairs, component replacement, and breakdowns.
• Maintain AC tools, recovery/charging equipment, and spare parts in good working condition.
• Follow OEM recommendations, company procedures, environmental requirements, and HSE standards.

Qualification

• ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC) preferred.
• ITI in Mechanical/Electrical with relevant AC/HVAC experience may also be considered.
• Relevant certification in automotive/heavy-equipment AC systems is an advantage.
