Job summary

PPOAR is seeking an experienced Egyptian Chef to join our kitchen in Medina. You will prepare authentic Egyptian dishes, manage ingredients, and ensure meals are presented attractively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

The ideal candidate has proven experience as an Egyptian chef, deep knowledge of traditional Egyptian cuisine, strong time management, and leadership abilities to train junior staff. Arabic fluency is preferred, and food safety certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Egyptian Chef or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of traditional Egyptian cuisine and cooking techniques.
• Fluent in Arabic (preferred) and food safety certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook traditional Egyptian dishes according to the restaurant's standards
• Ensure that all food is cooked and presented in an timely manner
• Monitor food stock levels and inform management of any shortages
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times
• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff
• Collaborate with the restaurant's management team to create new menus or specials
