Job summary

Apparel Group in Dubai is seeking a Commis Chef to support daily kitchen operations, basic food preparation, mise-en-place, and uphold hygiene and food safety standards in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes teamwork and attention to detail.

You will work closely with the Senior Cook or Section Head to follow recipes, maintain quality and presentation, and assist with food production, stock checks, and kitchen cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Cook with daily food production and kitchen activities.
• Support senior kitchen staff in preparing food efficiently according to operational requirements.
• Collect required food ingredients and supplies from the stores and butchery.
• Prepare mise-en-place according to instructions provided by the Section Head.
• Follow approved recipes, preparation methods, and cooking procedures.
• Assist with maintaining consistent food quality and presentation standards.
• Perform other kitchen duties assigned by management as required.
• Follow all kitchen hygiene, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain the required standards of operational cleanliness according to established cleaning schedules.
• Keep workstations, preparation areas, utensils, and kitchen equipment clean and organized.
• Follow restaurant policies related to health, hygiene, and food safety.
