Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company is recruiting a Senior Chief Technology Officer to lead engineering and technology strategy for a global EPC renewable energy business. The role covers power systems, grid integration, plant controls, and inverter-based resources across utility-scale projects.

Based in Saudi Arabia, the CTO will manage a team of engineers throughout the project lifecycle from bidding to commissioning and operations, ensuring robust, compliant, and commercially viable assets.

Qualifications

• 20+ years experience in electrical engineering, power systems or grid integration.
• 7–10+ years in a senior engineering/technology leadership role.
• Extensive experience with utility-scale renewables and inverter-based resources.
• Experience with grid connection studies and international grid-code requirements.
• Experience with commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of large renewable assets.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership across the renewable energy engineering function.
• Set engineering standards, technical strategies and design philosophies across projects.
• Lead technical assurance through the project lifecycle from concept to handover.
• Oversee grid connection studies and compliance with grid codes.
• Review OEM proposals and challenge design assumptions where appropriate.
• Lead or supervise testing activities including dynamic simulations.
