Job summary

IDOM Consulting, Engineering, Architecture is seeking a senior Contract Administrator to oversee contractual matters in our Riyadh projects. The role focuses on compliance, change management, cost reporting and claims across roads, highways, bridges and tunnels within urban settings.

Based in Riyadh, you will support the Contract Manager with procurement, client and contractor meetings, and ensure timely, accurate documentation and payments per contract while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or quantity surveying or equivalent experience.
• Formal qualifications/affiliations to RICS, IQS, ICES, or CIOB.
• Over 12 years in project management on mega construction projects, primarily as a consultant.

Responsibilities

• Support Contract Manager on all contractual matters, including compliance, change management, cost reporting, and claim mitigation during the project life cycle.
• Mitigate claims and review correspondence to assess commercial impact.
• Identify potential contractual issues and ensure bonds, warranties, insurances and undertakings are aligned with contracts.
• Assist in procurement, contracts and claims meetings with clients, third parties and contractors.
• Administer consultants' and contractors' claims; manage communications and payments per contract; ensure Quality Control processes are followed.
• Coordinate with discipline managers to guide consultant staff and foster collaboration during construction supervision.

Job description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Contract Administrator to join our Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh.

This opportunity lies within our Infrastructure Division and requires specific expertise in working on Civil Engineering and Transportation projects, particularly those involving roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels in urban environments. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all contractual matters, ensuring compliance, managing change proposals, and costs reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Main descriptions of the job position:

• Support the Contract Manager on all contractual matters, including contract compliance, change management, cost reporting, and claim mitigation strategies during the whole project life cycle.
• Help to mitigate claims and review incoming correspondence to assess any commercial impact.
• Identify and assess potential contractual issues.
• Ensure that all necessary bonds, warranties, insurances, undertakings, etc. are in the commercial interest of the Client and in accordance with the contracts.
• Assist the Contract Manager with client's meeting, other third parties, and contractors relating to procurement, contracts, and claims.
• Administer Consultants and Contractors' claims.
• Support with the draft contractual communications and review all incoming correspondence to assess and manage any commercial impact if any.
• Help with the Application and Payments process to ensure accuracy and adherence to the contract.
• Ensure adherence to Quality Control processes, resulting in the delivery of the highest quality work to the client.
• Assist with the coordination with other discipline managers in the team to provide direction to the consultant staff and foster a spirit of collaboration throughout the construction supervision services.

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or Quantity Surveying discipline or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Formal qualifications/affiliations to RICS, IQS, ICES, or CIOB.
• Applicable Experience: over 12 years in project management, particularly in mega construction projects, mainly as a Consultant. Candidates with exclusive contractors experience will not be taken into consideration.
• Understanding of construction, design and engineering principles.
• Understanding of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Proficiency level of English language. Arabic Language is a plus.
• Report writing skills, social skills, communication, teamwork, problem solving, autonomy, flexibility, and technical rigor.
• Willingness to work in a multinational environment firm.

Additional requirements:

• Transferable Iqama in case non-Saudi.
• Based in Riyadh.
• Valid SCE membership.
