Job summary

Confidential is seeking a highly skilled Road Inspector to join the Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh. The role focuses on civil engineering and transportation projects involving roads, highways, bridges and tunnels in urban environments.

You will coordinate all technical aspects of road works, ensure quality control, review drawings, and monitor construction methods while collaborating with structures, drainage, ITS, and material teams.

Job description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Road Inspector to join our Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh. This opportunity lies within our Infrastructure Division and requires specific expertise in working on Civil Engineering and Transportation projects, particularly those involving roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels in urban environments.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating all technical aspects related to road works, including quality control, drawing revision, value engineering and technical construction method revision and follow up. You should coordinate with all the other relevant senior specialties such as structures, drainage, ITS and material, among others.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Main descriptions of the job position:

• Technical control of roads works as well as coordination with all other discipline specialists and with the persons responsible for quality control.
• Amplifies or resolves design issues, where possible, or coordinates design issue with home office support.
• Advises technically on design changes.
• Oversees the Contractor’s technical submissions, shop drawings, materials, and design submissions.
• Final Review of all Contractor’s relevant drawings, schedules, or materials submittals to ensure compliance with the overall objectives of the design concepts of the project.
• Assessment and reporting technically on any Value Engineering proposals.
• Act as Point of contact between the Road Engineering department and the Technical Manager.

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with specialty/majoring in Road Design and/or equivalent work experience.
• Formal qualifications/affiliations to RICS, IQS, ICES, or CIOB.
• Applicable Experience: over 7 years in project management, particularly in mega construction projects.
• Understanding of construction, design and engineering principles.
• Understanding of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Proficiency level of English language. Arabic Language is a plus.
• Report writing skills, social skills, communication, teamwork, problem solving, autonomy, flexibility, and technical rigor.
• Willingness to work in a multinational environment firm.

Additional requirements:

• Transferable Iqama in case of non-Saudi.
