Job summary

AESG, a specialist consultancy, engineering and advisory firm, invites applications for a role focused on commissioning and site inspections in Saudi Arabia. You will join a multi-discipline project team to verify tested results and learn commissioning processes.

The position requires an MEP/building services background with several years of experience, plus relevant certifications. You will develop knowledge across systems and liaise with contractors and clients as part of a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• MEP/Building Services degree required.
• 2+ years of job-related experience with engineering background.
• Relevant industry certifications desirable.
• CSA/NEBB/ACG commissioning certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior personnel in carrying out commissioning activities.
• Develop knowledge of how different systems interact in buildings.
• Conduct site inspections in selected discipline.
• Assess test procedures and recorded results demonstrate compliance with project specifications and industry codes.
• Review project documentation for compliance with project specifications and industry codes.
• Report issues clearly to senior team members.
• Liaise with contractors commissioning team in a professional manner.
• Carry out site observations with respect to quality of installation.
• Monitor installation, submittals and use of engineering tools adhering to project guidelines.
• Assisting with tracking completion of tasks and preparing lookahead documents.

Job Purpose

As part of a multi-discipline project team representing AESG, conduct site inspections and verify the tested results are correct.

Develop knowledge about commissioning processes and test procedures in engineering discipline and demonstrate an ability and willingness to learn.

Qualification / Experience

• BSc Mechanical Engineering

• MEP / Building Services Engineering College Diploma
• HNC, HND or equivalent

• Minimum 2 years of job-related experience + Engineering Degree
• Minimum 3 years of job-related experience + College Diploma
