Job summary

AESG is seeking a commissioning engineer as part of a multi-discipline project team. You will conduct site inspections, verify test results, and develop knowledge of commissioning processes across building systems.

Applicants should have 2+ years in MEP/building services and relevant engineering qualifications, with a focus on compliance with industry codes and project specifications. This role is based in a Saudi Arabia site and involves on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• MEP/Building Services Engineering degrees and related certifications.
• Proven track record with multiple qualification routes and industry accreditations.
• Experience in commissioning activities and site inspections to verify test results.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior personnel in carrying out commissioning activities.
• Develop knowledge in chosen discipline and how different systems interact in buildings.
• Conduct site inspections in selected discipline.
• Assess whether test procedures and recorded results demonstrate compliance with project specifications and industry codes of practice.
• Assist with reviewing project documentation for compliance with project specifications and industry codes of practice.
• Report issues found to senior team members clearly and concisely.
• Liaise with contractors commissioning team professionally.
• Carry out site observations with respect to quality of installation.
• Monitor installation, submittals and use of engineering tools adhering to guidelines.
• Assist with tracking completion of tasks and preparing lookahead documents.
• Keep daily diary of events and activities including systems inspected and authorities' decisions on site.

BSc Electrical Engineering

MEP / Building Services Engineering College Diploma

HNC, HND or equivalent

MEP / Building Services Engineering College Certificate

ONC, OND or equivalent

MEP Trade Time Served + City & Guilds Certificate

Job Purpose

• As part of a multi-discipline project team representing AESG, conduct site inspections and verify the tested results are correct.
• Develop knowledge about commissioning processes and test procedures in engineering discipline and demonstrate an ability and willingness to learn.

• BSc Electrical Engineering
