Job summary

Zahid Industries in Jeddah is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, following blueprints, CAD data, and CNC programs. The role includes performing precision machining, in-process inspection, and tool changes to deliver high-precision components.

The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in machining, strong knowledge of Fanuc controls, and the ability to work from complex drawings. Arabic is desirable; English is essential.

Qualifications

• Educational qualifications: Technical High School or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge: Strong CNC turning and milling knowledge; experience with Fanuc controls.
• Language: English is essential; Arabic desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in machining/fabrication or similar mechanical role.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate CNC lathes FANUC operation system; twin spindle, multi-axis CNC lathes.
• Machine parts using blueprint drawings, CAD models, and pre-written CNC programs on lathes, mills and other equipment.
• Operate Fanuc CNC lathes and CNC borers; perform G/M code programming.
• Perform in-process inspection per routers, blueprints and verbal instructions.
• Work with precision measurement devices and ensure safety and cost targets.
• Prepare and train new operators; assist in tool changes and deburring tasks.

Job description

• Work from complex drawings, prototype sketches, electronic files and/or verbal instructions to facilitate the manufacturing of parts and assemblies by setting up, and operating manual and CNC mills and lathes, EDM and a variety of general machine shop equipment.
• Must be able to set up CNC vertical mills or CNC lathes with G code controls.
• Must be able to complete machining operations including in process inspection per routers, blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions.
• Daily operation of the CNC Lathes and CNC Notching Machine.

Key Accountabilities

• Set up, adjust and operate CNC lathes FANUC Operation System , twin spindle, multi axis CNC lathes.
• Machine parts and applications for a wide variety of materials and sizes using blueprint drawings, CAD models, and pre written CNC programs on CNC and manual lathes, mills and other equipment.
• Fanuc CNC lathes and CNC borers.
• 'G' + 'M' code programming, Operating, Decimal and metric system.
• Steel manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Ability to calculate using fractions and decimals, identify radii required.
• Experience with precision measurement devices, performance, manufacturability, safety and cost.
• Quality minded at all times and Familiarity with cutting tools and required hand tools.
• Operate 1 or 2 machines by self or up to 3 machines with the help of another operator.
• Help solve machining problems related to machine.
• Operate multiple lathes at the same time and Operate shop floor control and make adjustments to tooling as needed.
• Help solve machining problems related to the CNC machine and Change tooling as needed.
• Provide machining support for the fabrication of components ranging in size from miniature to very large and include common materials with hazardous characteristics.
• Responsible for production of high precision parts and performing complex setups required to produce the parts.
• Use hand and power tools such as saws, sanders, Hydraulic presses, lathes, mills, grinders, and use necessary precision measuring instruments, fixtures and gages.
• Recognizing tool wear and replacing or changing worn tools.
• Help train and assist new operators.
• Manual Deburring, Drilling, Broaching, and other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude

• Educational Qualifications and Certifications: Technical High School, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge: Strong Knowledge in CNC turning, milling Machines, Machining tools, truck mounted bodies, and semi trailers manufacturing.
• Strong Knowledge in Fanuc CNC lathes, CNC Milling and other CNC Machines, 'G' + 'M' code programming.
• Technical Skills:
• Language Skills: Arabic is desirable. English is essential
• Experience : Minimum of 3 yearsexperience in a similar position, or in mechanical section in Machining and fabrication unit.
