Job summary

The House Hotel Dar Tantora, AlUla is seeking a guest‑focused lounge associate to greet guests, guide cigar selections, and deliver beverage service in the cigar lounge of our Earth-built community. You will maintain a welcoming atmosphere, manage the humidor, and ensure high standards of safety and presentation.

Ideal candidates bring hospitality experience, a passion for cigars, and excellent communication skills, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends in a smoking environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role, preferably in a cigar lounge or similar establishment.
• Knowledge of premium cigars, including different brands, varieties, and storage requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide personalized service and create memorable experiences for guests.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality service.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be of legal smoking age and comfortable working in a smoking environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly as they enter the lounge and assist them in selecting cigars based on their preferences.
• Provide recommendations and guidance on cigar selections, including flavor profiles, strengths, and pairings with beverages.
• Assist guests with cutting and lighting their cigars, ensuring proper technique and equipment usage.
• Maintain a well-stocked humidor and assist guests in browsing and selecting cigars for purchase.
• Take orders for beverages and food items, delivering them to guests' tables in a timely and attentive manner.
• Prepare and serve drinks, including mocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, according to established recipes and standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to any requests or concerns, ensuring a positive experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the lounge, seating areas, and cigar displays.
• Uphold health and safety standards, including proper handling of cigars and adherence to smoking regulations.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the lounge and exceptional service for our guests.
