Job summary

Sener is seeking a CAD Technician to join our team in Saudi Arabia on a major 8-year PMC rail project in Riyadh. The role involves producing precise 2D and 3D drawings across Civil, MEP, Architecture, and infrastructure disciplines, while ensuring alignment with project standards and client requirements.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Bachelor's in a related field, at least 5 years of CAD experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, with Revit being an advantage.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in civil engineering, architecture, drafting technology or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a CAD Technician or CAD Designer.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software.
• Experience producing detailed 2D/3D drawings and construction documentation.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows; Revit is a plus.
• Fluent in English and good coordination across teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise 2D and 3D drawings per project requirements and standards.
• Produce design drawings, layouts, plans, sections and details for Civil, MEP, Architecture, and infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with engineers to ensure design accuracy and integration across disciplines.
• Update drawings based on comments, reviews, and client feedback.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and document control.
• Support design deliverables, presentations, and documentation.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS to aid development and documentation.
• Identify inconsistencies and propose improvements to drawing quality and coordination.
• Contribute to drafting standards and CAD library enhancement.

In this role, you will support a major 8-year PMC rail project in Riyadh, producing accurate engineering drawings and design documentation across Civil, MEP, Architecture, and infrastructure disciplines. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality technical deliverables and supporting the successful execution of this landmark project.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, develop, and revise detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings using CAD software in accordance with project requirements and company standards.

• Produce design drawings, layouts, plans, sections, details, and technical documentation for Civil, MEP, Architecture, and infrastructure projects.

• Coordinate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure design accuracy, consistency, and integration across all disciplines.

• Update drawings based on engineering comments, design reviews, and client feedback.

• Ensure all drawings comply with applicable standards, specifications, and quality procedures.

• Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and document control throughout the project lifecycle.

• Support the preparation of design deliverables, presentations, and project documentation.

• Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software to support design development, spatial coordination, and engineering documentation where required.

• Identify drafting inconsistencies and recommend practical solutions to improve drawing quality and coordination.

• Support the continuous improvement of drafting standards, CAD libraries, and design workflows.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a CAD Technician or CAD Designer.

• Experience supporting Civil, MEP, Architecture, or infrastructure design projects.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software.

• Experience producing detailed engineering drawings, layouts, plans, sections, and construction documentation.

• Strong understanding of engineering drafting standards and design documentation.

• Experience coordinating drawings within multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Familiarity with BIM workflows and Autodesk Revit is an advantage.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.

• Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Saudi Nationals are preferred.

• Experience working with international engineering consultancies.

• Experience supporting infrastructure, transportation, or building projects.

• Familiarity with GCC engineering standards and drafting practices.

• Knowledge of BIM coordination and digital engineering workflows is an advantage.
