Detailed Job Description:

As a BIM Engineer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, via Assystem, you will serve as the principal technical authority responsible for managing and optimizing digital building models, clash detection coordination, and BIM execution plans across large-scale engineering developments. Your daily responsibilities will encompass authoring and reviewing architectural and MEP BIM deliverables, resolving multidisciplinary spatial clashes, coordinating with project managers and site engineers, and maintaining compliance with international BIM standards. You will ensure seamless data integration across digital project lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, coordination, and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) deliverables for major infrastructure and construction projects.
• Perform rigorous architectural and MEP model coordination, clash detection resolution, and spatial clash analysis.
• Ensure strict adherence to BIM Execution Plans (BEP), employer’s information requirements (EIR), and international digital delivery standards.
• Review and validate engineering drawings, 3D models, shop drawings, and technical submittals from multidisciplinary subcontractors.
• Collaborate proactively with project managers, architects, lead engineers, and site construction teams in Riyadh.
• Manage digital model federations, version control, and Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows.
• Conduct regular BIM progress audits, quality checks, and clash resolution reporting meetings.
• Troubleshoot modeling bottlenecks, software interoperability issues, and data attribute discrepancies.
• Author comprehensive BIM standard operating procedures, modeling guidelines, and handover documentation.
• Mentor junior BIM modelers and coordinate technical training across engineering project squads.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant professional BIM and digital engineering experience in the construction/infrastructure sector.
• Strong architectural background preferred, with robust alternative consideration for candidates possessing deep MEP engineering experience.
• Proven hands-on technical proficiency in industry-standard BIM authoring and coordination software (Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, BIM 360).
• Comprehensive understanding of clash detection workflows, BIM standards (ISO 19650), and data governance.
• Outstanding analytical problem-solving, spatial coordination, and cross-functional communication capabilities.
• Mandatory residency/work authorization: Currently based in Saudi Arabia with eligibility for a hassle-free local transfer.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills:

• Professional certifications such as Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) or BRE BIM Practitioner / Information Manager credentials.
• Prior professional experience delivering hyperscale data centers, smart cities, or mega-infrastructure projects in the GCC.
• Familiarity with parametric modeling, Dynamo scripting, and Python automation for BIM workflows.
• Immediate availability for professional mobilization in Riyadh.
