Job summary

Chalhoub Group is seeking an Operations Supervisor to manage daily distribution center activities in a bonded warehouse environment. You will oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, order fulfilment and dispatch while leading shift teams to meet targets.

You will coordinate with teams to ensure accurate goods receipt, put-away, dispatch, and quality standards, providing coaching and improving processes. Day/night shifts may be required based on schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift teams, optimize resources, ensure service standards and compliance with procedures and regulations.
• Supervise goods receipt, put-away, order preparation, dispatch and value-added services (VAS).
• Assess workload, allocate manpower and equipment to meet targets and monitor shift leaders.
• Provide coaching, feedback and identify training needs for continuous improvement.
• Ensure accurate shift reports, handovers and clear communication with the team.

What you\'ll be doing

• Oversee the efficient and accurate daily operations of the Distribution Center including warehouse activities, inventory control, order fulfilment, dispatch and fleet coordination
• Lead shift teams, optimize resources, maintain service standards and ensure compliance with company procedures, quality requirements and bonded warehouse regulations
• Supervise goods receipt, put-away, order preparation, dispatch, value-added services (VAS) and housekeeping
• Assess daily workloads, allocate manpower and equipment, and monitor shift team leaders to achieve operational targets
• Lead team briefings, provide on-the-job coaching and performance feedback and identify training needs
• Ensure shift reports and handovers are accurate, complete and communicated to the incoming team
• Promote effective communication between management and warehouse teams and maintain a cooperative working environment
• Oversee WMS put-away strategies, inventory accuracy, stock handling and damage prevention
• Optimize storage space, staffing, machinery, equipment and consumables, ensure resources are properly maintained
• Ensure customer requirements are met and resolve operational issues promptly
• Coordinate route planning, order dispatch, vehicle loading, delivery documentation and customer delivery updates
• Monitor fleet operations, vehicle inspections, servicing needs and distribution expenses including fuel and maintenance
• Track delivery performance, running times, petty cash and operational incidents, escalating issues as required
• Enforce standard operating procedures, health and safety rules, security controls and applicable bonded warehouse requirements
• Report breaches of company policies, procedures or security promptly to management
• Analyze operational performance and recommend improvements to efficiency, accuracy and the Quality Management System
• Work in a bonded warehouse environment; availability for day or night shifts is required according to operational schedules

Supervisory & Shift Operations
